Setting Claws to delete old messages doesn't work. Individually deleting messages also doesn't work on PrivacyBox or TorMail, deletes locally but not on the server.
Tested with Thunderbird and it worked for both PrivacyBox and Tormail.
> Claws-mail default setting for POP accounts is to delete the messages on the server *7days after the reception*. Did you tried modifying this setting?
I use Ubuntu 12.04 on a HP Pavilion Slimline machine with Nvidia Geforce graphic card.
The computer was very noisy with Ubuntu because of the graphic card and I had to install the Nvidia proprietary drivers available through the Ubuntu interface.
When I run Tails, the computer is noisy also. So I would like to use Nvidia proprietary drivers, or a free driver that works properly with machine.
Is it possible ? If yes, how can I do ? Or is there another way the manage this issue (the noise of the graphic card) ? For instance with persistence.
I really need Tails, but I can't work with because of this noise. I'm afraid that the card processor burns also..
This issue is known and I've read on forums that the only solution known is to use the proprietary drivers.
Please, let me know.
Regards.

2. select either failsafe mode or normal (added vga=0x314)
**durning other instances of boot attempts, removed all instances of splash, quiet, added xorg-driver=vesa same result occured
Many lines of information (code, etc.) appear on the screen. Eventually it stops loading the lines. There is a flashing underscore near the bottom of the screen. I can still type, as well as ctrl+alt+del to restart back to the BIOS screen/boot menu.
After waiting awhile more lines appear. Nothing happens after that.
The user agent in the unsafe browser seems to be the genuine user agent.
It could be set to something less suspicious, either the default TOR user agent or another common user agent, e.g. Windows 7 with an up-to-date IE.

Not the Torred browser's UI.. please!
Some IE6/8 on XP perhaps but not exactly the same string as the Tor browser.
Also, please bear in mind that the "unsafe browser" is **not** an unsafe browser. In fact, it is exactly the same (rather good) browser as the "safe browser". It is simply not being routed over the Tor network. It is therefore the **not torred** browser, or perhaps the **non-anonymous** browser. It is **CERTAINLY** no less **safe** than when directed over tor, in fact, I consider the "unsafe browser" to be significantly *more* "safe" as the likleyhood of snooping and MITM attacks is probably many orders of magnitude lower when *not* using Tor. On a private connection, Tails' "unsafe browser" is my *preferred* **safe** browser: used for online banking, accessing email accounts which don't provide SSL, and various other non-anonymous security-imperitive tasks.
Please don't give the non-anonymous browser exactly the same UI string as the tor-browser!
When I start tails with the dvd the launch stops and I read :
process 225 glib warning getpwuid_r() failed due to unknow user id (0)
Thanks
