GNOME Shell unlock dialog triggered by automount closes without error message when an incorrect VeraCrypt passphrase is entered
Steps to reproduce (in Tails 6.1):
- Run as amnesia (after mounting
mount -t9p src /mnt
):
udisksctl loop-setup --read-only -f /mnt/features/misc_files/container_with_pim.hc
- Enter an incorrect passphrase and click "Unlock".
Alternatively:
- Use "Attach Disk Image..." in GNOME Disks to attach the file container.
- Enter an incorrect passphrase and click "Unlock".
Note that this only affects the unlock dialog which is opened when GNOME tries to automount a volume. When the unlock dialog is opened by clicking on the device in the sidebar of GNOME Files or clicking on "Unlock" in Unlock VeraCrypt Volumes, an error message is shown.
