Import translations before release
In the current process, new translations are imported on the release day. This issue is to discuss whether this can be improved.
This setup has benefits:
- it imports as many translations as possible
And drawbacks:
- it adds workload on the critical path, where we want to minimize work & stress levels. For %Tails_5.13 , this was 13minutes + 5 minutes to fix files (see #19399). 7ec46456 helped, but still. For %Tails_5.15, this was 36 minutes total.
- sometimes new strings will break tests. Better check it before release, so that there is more time to fix, or at least to acknowledge the issue.
Proposal: split this task into a recurring issue, a bit like the "Upgrade Tor Browser", to be done the week before.
Of course this will add some overhead, so let's discuss whether this is justified.
