Screencast application
Screencasts are useful for:
- People doing usability tests of Tails
- Journalists using Tails for investigation and wanting to display the work that they do from Tails
We don't have a screencast application in Tails.
- Kazam used to work with Additional Software but stopped working with Wayland
- The screencast feature of GNOME Shell is hard to discover and has limited features. (#12723 (closed))
In Tails 6.0, we should get the new native screenshot+screencast application of GNOME, but it won't record sound.
Kooha is a new application to make screencasts in GNOME. It's not available in Debian but as Flatpak. Apparently, it supports Wayland. Work to add it to Debian: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1055956
