Blocked by #21587+ Given our feature flag approach, this won't be a "release" with its own images and version number, but rather a call for testing with documentation about how to enable the feature flag every time they want to use the new feature. In a perfect world, if we have plenty of spare capacity, we might even add a _Feature Flags_ Persistent Storage feature so that users can opt-in for a feature in a persistent manner. It's unlikely that every future feature flag is 100% implemented in a way that can be enabled at the time we activate PS features, so this feature would really be about tails/tails#18268+, so basically a different backend, which may require a fair bit of refactoring to keep the code manageable.
