Shortcuts (Terminal, Places, Applications)

Idea
Allow users who use mainly (and / or) combination of mouse / touchpad
and keyboard to navigate within Tails quickly and flawlessly.
User can set shortcuts in system settings but it could be a good idea to
set few extra / fundamental as default.
Security reasons?
If developers haven’t set these / extra shortcuts by default for
security or other reasons,
feel free to delete this ticket as its only an idea how to improve
accesibility and use of Tails.
Shortcuts?
-
Terminal
gnome-terminal
CTRL + ALT + T
any other if conflict appears
In my opinion required thing by many, to be able to start terminal with shortcut
-
Minimize Window
SUPER / WIN + H
any other if conflict appears
Currently disabled, probably good idea to allow users to quickly hide (minimize) window with shortcut. Faster operating in the system coming hand in hand with it.
Contextual shortcuts?
Set shortcuts to get quickly into Applications and Places menu entries in top bar?
-
Places
CTRL + SHIFT + P
any other if conflict appears
-
Applications
CTRL + SHIFT + A
any other if conflict appears
Since once you are in that menu you can already just type the first letter of the entry to activate it, it is probably useless to make shortcuts for those.
