Review design of about:tor in Tails
In #21224 (closed), we moved fast to be on time for the YEC and we skipped a bunch of design discussions.
We should have them after %Tails_7.1
TODO
-
Message rotation
Do we want to integrate the release notes message and the newsletter message in the usual rotation or always display both?
-
Design of the double newsletter
Comment from @henry:
I'm not a designer, but the triangle of three links at the bottom is visually strange. And there isn't much of a link between the "Get the latest news" and the links underneath. What about combing it all into one sentence:
Get the latest Tails news or Tor news straight to your inbox. -
Layout of "Tor check"
Comment from @henry:
Can you use the
home-messageclass instead, so there isn't repeated styling blocks? Also, why only a
0.6emgap, rather than1.6emlike the existing messages? -
Phrasing of "Tor check"
Comment from @henry:
I'm not sure if "Tor check" is sufficiently clear to a user what this actually does. E.g. "Check your Tor connection" would be clearer.
Has there been any UX input on this part?
