Audacity is slow to start in 6.0~rc1 due to incompatible plugins
Reported in the "Audacity is not starting properly (+miscellaneous)" thread on tails-testers@.
When you start Audacity om Tails 6.0~rc1 it shows you a weird popup saying "Searching for plugins" for over 30 seconds before starting:
and during this time two segfaults are logged in the journal:
Feb 07 09:40:03 amnesia kernel: audacity[12320]: segfault at 5d124a3234c9 ip 00007ff58e59d88b sp 00007fffd91ea408 error 4 in lib-module-manager.so[7ff58e585000+28000] likely on CPU 0 (core 0, socket 0)
Feb 07 09:40:33 amnesia kernel: audacity[12398]: segfault at 560223b1a483 ip 00007459fffc688b sp 00007ffd8a866638 error 4 in lib-module-manager.so[7459fffae000+28000] likely on CPU 1 (core 0, socket 1)
and when Audacity finally starts it warns about "Incompatible plugin(s) found", listing:
/usr/share/audacity/plug-ins/eq-xml-to-txt-converter.ny
/usr/share/audacity/plug-ins/rms.ny
If I use Audacity's plugin manager (linked from the warning) to re-enable those plugins I can confirm that the plugins works (i.e. Analyze → Mesaure RMS, and Tools → EQ XML to TXT Converter...). When restarting with or without re-enabling the plugins none of the above issues occur again. Obviously, deleting the plugins before starting Audacity the first time also fixes the issues.
I cannot reproduce this on Debian Bookworm.
