Monitor the current and historical health of our mirror pool
On Rethink how we monitor and maintain our mirror ... (#19334 - closed) we noticed that our mirrors monitoring setup deals fine with transient problems limited to 1 mirror, but it lacks:
- overview of the health of our mirror pool (e.g. do we generally have enough up-to-date, fast, and reliable mirrors?)
- historical perspective needed to spot recurring issues on specific mirrors
There, I (intrigeri) advocated in favor of using the mirmon web dashboard, which should be very cheap to set up and to maintain. @zen suggested another approach, that starts with writing our own system to store Mirrorbits check results in a database, aiming at "reducing complexity".
