Install TBB in a custom way instead of installing Iceweasel. · 3f1a351d
      Tails developers authored
Instead of installing the iceweasel package (and friends) we now fetch
the TBB tarballs at build-time and extract the Tor Browser, browser
add-ons and langpacks, and browser user data into sensible places. We
try to keep something like the old organization as much as possible.

Unfortunately this drops language support to whatever subset that the
      TBB supports.

Install the syslinux UEFI bootloader. · db2196ea
      Tails developers authored
      This requires to:

      1. Copy files around for compatibility between live-build 2.x and syslinux
         3:6.03~pre1+dfsg-1. Ugly, yes.
      2. Install isolinux and syslinux-common explicitly, since it is the ones that
ship isolinux.bin and the *.c32 modules in syslinux 6.x packaging, and are
         merely recommends.

Use IBus instead of SCIM. · a3660da9
      WinterFairy authored
This fixes bug #6206, that made it impossible
to input passwords in pinentry for Japanese,
      Chinese and Korean languages.

This patch also drops UIM instead of replacing it,
because UIM wasn't used for anything.

IBus is replacing SCIM in Wheezy anyway, so making
this change for Squeeze too is sensible.

SCIM does not exist anymore in Wheezy, and IBus
      is the recommended replacement.

Add monitor for detecting network blockage. · 190a6a07
      Tails developers authored
Since we enable MAC spoofing by default, users may experience network
connection issues on networks emplying MAC address blocking.
Unfortunately NetworkManager does not seem to offer any nice hook into
its error-handling, so when MAC spoofing is enabled we run (from T-G)
this crufty script which analyzes NM's log and tries to identify
connection failures that is unrelated to more common errors, like
entering an incorrect WPA passphrase. At the moment the script only
handles wifi networks, not wired, WAN, etc.

      Don't ever install the gnome-core packages list. · 35cea874
      Tails developers authored
Instead, explicitly install the packages we want from this list (gnome-themes,
      desktop-base, standard-x11 packages list) and from the gnome-core meta-package
      dependencies list.

Therefore, don't remove packages pulled by gnome-core at the end of the build
process: they should now not be installed at all.
