Impossible to exchange files with the I2P Browser
-------------------------------------------------
It is impossible to access files from the I2P Browser with the amnesia user,
and respectively. See [[!tails_ticket 8280]]. But you can do that with
administration rights. To do so, navigate to the home folder of the I2P
Browser:
1. Start Tails, enable I2P and set up an administration password.
1. Choose
<span class="menuchoice">
<span class="guimenu">Applications</span>&nbsp;▸
<span class="guisubmenu">Accessories</span>&nbsp;▸
<span class="guimenuitem">Root Terminal</span>
</span>
to open a terminal with administration rights.
1. Execute the <span class="code">nautilus</span> command to open the
file browser with administration rights.
1. In the file browser, navigate to
<span class="filename">/var/lib/i2p-browser/chroot/home/i2pbrowser/</span>
to open the home of the I2P Browser.
1. You can drag and drop files in and out of this folder and access them with
the I2P Browser.
1. You might have to check the permissions of the files that you want to
exchange with the I2P Browser:
- They need to belong to the `i2pbrowser` user to be accessible from
inside of the browser.
- They need to belong to the `amnesia` user to be accessible from outside
of the I2P Browser.
To change the ownership of a file, right-click on it from the file browser
with administration rights and choose
<span class="menuchoice">
<span class="guimenu">Properties</span>&nbsp;▸
<span class="guisubmenu">Permissions</span>&nbsp;▸
<span class="guimenuitem">Owner</span></span>.
