I wanted to try the unsafe browser, quickly chose the button next to close without reading it and poof, reboot. That's brutal!
some extra warning/confirmation would make sense to me before actually proceeding the reboot (and loosing your current work).
now, it just brutally reboot, without a clue that you have to change some stuff in the welcome screen to actually start unsafe browser.
(not sure I'm reporting in the good issue, but it seems so to me) Today, using 4.20, I tried connecting to a wired network. The router gave me a lan adress but the gateway to the internet was not working. Tor connection reported a problem.
I kept the ethernet cable in but connected to a working wifi network. Tor worked :-) but the error page in Tor connection remained and the onion circuits logo in the top Gnome bar keep the cross on it. => While Tor was working, Tails was reporting that Tor was not working :-S
PS : not using bridges
I did click "Open Network Monitor" in TCA and that made me confused. How can these graph can be useful in this context ?
I had the issue upgrading from 4.17 to 4.18
To me it seems related to
#17993 (closed)
sudo apt update && sudo apt install MySoftware
worked :-)
There is a Default "Public" folder in /home wich I find confusing. I even suppose that if we try to actually make it public: https://help.gnome.org/users/gnome-help/stable/sharing-personal.html.en it won't work in Tails.
I suggest to simply remove it.
Moreover, I find the "Music" "Pictures" "Templates" and "Videos" unnecessary within the Tails usecase, but they seem less problematic. seems related to #10790
